The Olympics
It was on my To Do List all summer: WRITE a blog post on teaching resources for the Olympics. Alas, time got away from me and suddenly there was the Opening Ceremony. What a show! I love the Olympics and so do many of our students. It is a connection to real life, and it is a timely and relevant topic for the beginning of the school year. The spirit of the Olympics connects to so many aspects of our classrooms: teamwork, friendship, respect, excellence, goal setting, collaboration, world peace, history, geography, world cultures, and global perspectives. The list is endless.
Last week one of my favorite bloggers, Virtual Glenn at History Tech, shared an excellent list of resources for all of us in his weekly post. Check out this extensive list of resources.
