Planning Ahead – Earth Day

March 9, 2012

I believe organization and planning are essential traits of effective teachers. I also know my skills and abilities in both areas developed over time and after much reflection and opportunities for practice. While composing recent blog entries on Dr. Seuss and WRAD and after rereading The Lorax, I was reminded of the connection between literature and the environment. Then I remembered that April 22 is Earth Day. While it is over a month away, now is the time to plan engaging and meaningful lessons and activities to teach environmental education and awareness.

Connect The Lorax to environmental awareness and Earth Day.

The following resources provide resources and lesson ideas for April 22 or any day in the meaningful classroom. It is never too early to start planning.

Have a good day.
